Does God speak and then not act? Promise and not fulfill?
He’s not a man, shifting like sand, changing His mind
When He blesses, He does is with all His heart
When He curses, we don’t want any part of that plan
He’s not a man that He should lie
Does God’s Word return void? Does His rain not water the earth?
Come all you thirsty, drink of His mercy – it won’t run dry
The grass withers, we know the flowers fade
But His word never fails – it’s not man-made
It will stand – He’s not a man that He should lie
He’s not a man
Changing His plan with every gust of wind
If He said it, He will do it – that’s all there is to it
That’s why we speak truth to power (truth to power)
We refuse to cower (truth to power)
We will be heard speaking His word – He cannot lie
