(Moses)
You’re calling me a liar? You’re calling God a fraud?
The One who humbles blasphemers and every demigod
Who elevated Egypt through Joseph and his dreams
Whose piercing eyes peer into hearts where things are as they seem
Where Pharaohs hide their schemes

(Pharaoh)
You think I’m hiding something? Well, what have I to fear?
I’m openly defying you – Trust me, I’m sincere
Of all the gods in Egypt I’ve yet to hear of yours
You’re worried he may threaten you with trouble or with wars?
I’ll kill you with more chores

(Moses)
So, you’re punishing the upright now – inviting God’s reproof
Thinking Him a fiction or far off and aloof
His creation and true children – they see and understand
His words are on my tongue – His strength in my raised hand
Amphibians and insects await His next command

(Pharaoh)
Amphibians and insects? Is this a magic show?
Is it, in fact, the Lord of Flies who deals the tragic blow?
Your god has made you lazy or crazy if you think
His idle threats against his own will somehow make me blink
I’m not so quick to shrink

(Moses)
Well, stand there then and watch Him – He burns against men’s pride
You didn’t see the desert fire or the day I almost died
But what I think you will see is His promises fulfilled
I’ll pray for you that you won’t get yourself of family killed
But I fear you’re that strong-willed

(Moses) You’re calling me a liar?
(Pharaoh) You think I’m hiding something?
(Moses) I fear you’re that strong willed
